TELEVISION APPEARANCES
Having the opportunity to be on television is great because I can
visually show a hint rather than just write about it. I have been
appearing on the Today Show for more than 20 years. I had a
wonderful time on Oprah. And I enjoy visiting local shows across
the country as well. Here are a few I have done lately and I just
may be in your city soon sharing good hints.
San Antonio Living: Essential oils, high-tech, egg safety

Late Show with David Letterman: How-to kitchen hints
The Jane Pauley Show: Heloise House Calls.

Heloise on Great Day Houston
Heloise and Whitney Casey, host of Great Day Houston (KHOU-TV),
discussed how to sew on a button. Heres the Heloise how-to:
- First, double the thread and make it twice as long as you think
you will need.
- Place a match or toothpick between the button and material to
give it a little play, so the button is not too tightly sewn on.
- When done, put a drop of clear nail polish on the threads and
knot to help secure the button.
- Watch Heloise on February 26 when she returns to Great Day Houston

HELOISE ON RADIO
In late 2005, I did a 19-city radio media tour, including New York,
Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and others. It was fun!
I discussed hints for entertaining. When you are getting ready
for a party, consider these factors as you look around your home:
The setting. When people enter from the front door, what
do they see first? What impression do you want to make? Have you
spruced up your house by setting out a flower arrangement, plants
or bowl of fruits? Hows the lighting? What kind of mood are
you setting for your gathering?
The scent. What will your guests smell when they come inside?
Have you masked pet or other smells with sprays or essential oils?
Have you put out aromatic candles, fresh or dried-flower bouquets
to make your home smell inviting?
The sound. Will your guests come into a silent home? Have
you put on your favorite CDs to set a musical tone for the party?
Does the music match the theme of the evening? Soothing and mellow
or upbeat and loud? For more ideas, click
here for www.simplehomeremedies.com.
You have heard me on my live radio show, ASK HELOISE, for several
years now. I loved taking your calls and interviewing interesting
people. I learned a few hints, too!
I am taking a little break, but look forward to being back on the
air.
For program directors, if you have run my ASK HELOISE show or the
short form, please give me your input for the NEW Heloise radio
show. Fax 210-HELOISE or e-mail: Heloise@compuserve.com.
Use the subject line RADIO SHOW and include your phone number, so
I can call you.
For listeners, if you have a favorite show or topic, I would welcome
your comments too! And if theres any other content youd
like to listen to, let me know, because its all about what
YOU want.
Can't wait to be back on the air!
